Our little Pumpkin

By October 14, 2013Blog

One of my most treasured childhood traditions was going with my family to pick a pumpkin right from the patch each October while living in Wisconsin.  We want Landon to experience fall traditions despite living in the desert.   Our pumpkin patch experience, however, included a horse ranch surrounded by Saguaro cactus and “Soooooo Scottsdale” model mommies toting their tots in Bugaboo strollers on a perfectly sunny 80 degree day. Not exactly like sipping hot apple cider, wearing mittens, on a blustery 50 degree (if you were lucky) day. Despite the obvious differences, the day was full of special moments I’ll never forget like when I watched my son’s face light up as he looked at a live goat for the first time.  His eyes filled with wonder as if to say “These things are real and not just in my books!”   Memories are made when time is spent together as a family and it doesn’t matter how or where they are made.

Thanks for the memories my little pumpkin. 😉

It was a great day even though it was a little different from other pumpkin farms. It’s always a pleasure to see his beautiful little face when he’s excited. Brings back memories of mommy’s beautiful smile when she saw things for the first time. Being a grandma is so special, seeing the wonder in a child’s eyes again and making new memories. Thanks for inviting us!
    Love ya all,
