Kentucky Christmas 2018

By January 6, 2019Blog

We were so thrilled we could have a Kentucky Christmas this year. This was Easton’s first flight and he did great. Landon was a huge help and such a good traveler. We couldn’t have asked for smoother travels.

We tried to squeeze in some fun activities and mini adventures on our trip to Kentucky. We wanted the boys to get a chance to see the Opryland hotel in Nashville especially during Christmas when the decorations make it extra special. Mimi picked us up in Nashville and spent the day exploring with us. In Owensboro, we enjoyed visiting thrift and antique shops, Smother’s Park, and an indoor trampoline park.  Mostly we relaxed, but everyday we built a huge pillow pile for the kids to jump in to get their wiggles out. We ate so much delicious food, including a trip to the Moonlight BBQ buffet. The big family Christmas seems to get bigger every year despite the loss of some special people along the way. Everyone always feels welcome and relaxed at Mimi’s house. We are so looking forward to seeing our Kentucky family this July for a beach trip to Alabama. Can’t wait for new adventures together!
